Happy Easter!

I hope you all had a great Easter! We spent our Easter Sunday a little differently then we usually do. This was the second time in my life that I wasn't with my family. This year we decided to stay home for Easter. In the morning our church met bright and early at a park in Corvallis and did some clean-up to it. Then after that we headed down the road to the fair grounds where we had our church service. It was different wearing our dirty work clothes to Easter Sunday church service. But it was fun to pitch in and help at a local park which doesn't get much TLC. Then this evening we hosted dinner for 6 couples who didn't have any where to be for Easter dinner. I cooked my first ham, made Bartlett Baked Beans and deviled eggs! Everyone else also brought a side dish. It was hard not to be with family today but we are very blessed with great friends!

The words to this song is why I celebrate Easter...

True Love
By Phil Wickham

Come close listen to the story
About a love more faithful than the morning
The Father gave his only son just to save us

The earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt the Father's broken heart
Tears were filling heaven's eyes
The day that true love died, the day that true love died
When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that true love died, the day that true love died

Search your heart, you know you can't deny it
Come on, lose your life just so you can find it
The Father gave his only son just to save us

The earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt the father's broken heart
Tears were filling heaven's eyes
The day that true love died, the day that true love died
When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that true love died, the day that true love died

Now Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
oh He is alive
He knows he can

When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that true love died, the day that true love died

Come close listen to the story

Side note: Despite the rain and wind, Russ finished the fence this weekend! (Yay) Pictures to come...
