Easter 2012

Easter Sunday was a beautiful sunny day! The sunshine was a welcomed change from all the rain we have been getting. 

This was our third Easter spent at our home. Although we love our family and going to Medford, its kind of nice to have a holiday at home without the business that traveling brings.

Sunday morning we woke up made a yummy breakfast of egg casserole and homemade cinnamon rolls and then headed off to church. Oh, and B had fun seeing what the Easter Bunny brought him and what his grandparents got him!

 This would be the face he gives me when I ask him to smile.

He found candy in the eggs and quickly opened it and put it in his mouth! I had to stop him to get the wrapper off.

After church we headed over to the Hammagren's.

Like I said above... the weather was beautiful! So after nap time we walked over to the park.

After the park we had a yummy Easter dinner. 

And a cake to celebrate that

Things from this week.

Wow it was a busy week! And I actually managed to document what we did with pictures! {They were taken on my phone so the quality isn't great but at least there is a picture to remember it by.}

 Wednesday after work Blake and I met two new babies! My friend Jamie welcomed their little girl Quinn on October 1st and my friend Mary welcomed their little boy Cameron on November 11th! 

Its so much fun meeting new babies!

 On Thursday we meet Daddy for a Starbucks date. 

Starbucks had their holiday drinks by one get one free {and still does 2-5pm till Sunday!}. There is no way we could pass that up! While standing in line Blake kept pointing at the display case making his noise that he makes when he wants something. {he's just recently started this and it's really starting to drive me crazy...} So what do I do give in and get him a cake pop thing. {secretly I just wanted a bite ha!} He loved devoured it. {but who wouldn't it was chocolate and peppermint... yum} Although I think he mostly just like the fact that it was on a stick. Because when he realized he had ate it off the stick and a huge bite was in his mouth and not on the stick anymore he started throwing a fit. {another thing that is getting. old. quickly. that I'm afraid is just the beginning of} Maybe I'll try putting green beans and carrots on sticks! Then maybe he'll eat them!

After our coffee date with daddy {which Blake is now saying pretty well! daddy that is.} we went to meet this little guy...

Isn't he absolutely adorable?

{No. He is not ours. Thank goodness. Maybe someday. But not today.}

His name is Lightning and he belongs to Michael {the boy I watch}. 

He is a nine-week-old Golden Retriever.

I tried to get a picture of Michael, Blake and Lightning, but this...

 is pretty much what Lightning would do unless I was holding him.

So I had Michael take a picture of Blake and I with Lightning.

 It will be so fun to watch him grow! 

Today {Friday} we had a nice day at home. {finally a day off!}

And tonight, before Blake went to bed, he actually cuddled with me while watching the Backyardigans. {This has never happened before}

This weekend is the last home football game for the season. Sadly, I'm not going. It will be too cold and wet for Blake. {but hey, we made it to all the other home games!} But we will be joining the tailgate festivities before hand. Breakfast Burritos are on the menu {for the third time this season because they are just so good} and we can't pass those up!

A Birthday Weekend

{Is it already Wednesday?! Oh my how the days fly by! I meant to have this post done on Sunday oops!}

Russell's Birthday was on Sunday so we had fun birthday weekend!

On Saturday before the OSU game we had tailgating b-day party for Russ.

Saturday night Russell's parents stayed with us. Sunday we went to church with them and then out to our favorite pizza place. Fun weekends always go by way too fast!

Mini-vacation!

This weekend we took a break from the painting and went on a mini-vacation to Bend! We love Bend, it is a beautiful town and there is always something to do and fun restaurants to eat at. Our friends are from Bend and sill have parents who live there and they graciously hosted us for the weekend.

It was a great weekend of relaxing, (the girls even got massages!) eating great food and spending time with great friends. The weekend ended to quickly!

 And we even got out without the babies (twice!)!

Welcome Claire!

This past Saturday, our friends Drew and Ashleigh welcomed their precious little girl into the world! Blake got to meet her for the first time last night and is excited to have a new friend!

Blake (almost) 13 months, Luke 3 months, and Claire 3 days

It will be so fun to watch them all grow up together! 

Welcome Baby Luke!

Baby Luke is here! On March 25th my friend Becca, had her little baby Luke! We are so excited and happy for Erik and Becca and their new little baby! On Sunday Blake got to meet his new friend Luke. We wasn't quite sure what to think about him. But I know in time they will become great buddies!

Our Weekend

Our weekend was great! It was full of friends! But I am sad to say I have no pictures to document it with. Oh well, maybe next time I will be better at the pictures.

Friday we joined our friends Erik & Becca, Drew & Ashleigh and Brandon & Noele for happy hour at Cloud 9. It was a perfect way to start the weekend. I love happy hour for a few different reasons: smaller portion sizes, the price is less, its early and "Blake friendly". It had been while since we had gone to happy hour, but I could see this becoming more of a Friday night tradition. Oh and all of the couples we were with are expecting their first babies! Erik and Becca are expecting Luke any day now. And Drew and Ashleigh and Brandon and Noele are due this summer. So fun!

Saturday we headed up to Portland. We first made a stop at Babies R Us. It had been a long time since we had been in that store and had forgotten how overwhelming it can seem, even after you have a baby and everything it needs, haha! We were in search for a highchair. The highchair we had for Blake was given to us and it just didn't seem to fit him right. We found a great deal on a Chicco one and it fits him much better! After Babies R Us we headed to Jeremy and Kira's. There we hung out with our friends, Chris and Becca, Greg and Megan and Kelli and Jordan. It was so fun to see everyone! Blake had a great time watching (and wishing he could join) Bennett and Lucy run around. We played a very fun game of telephone pictionary (if you haven't played this game, the next time you are with a larger group of people say 6-10 you need to play, so much fun!) And then we all went out to dinner. It was great to see all of them and I really wish we would have taken pictures. Oh well.

Today with the time change, we didn't make it to church. Blake slept till 8:00! Which was great but then that meant he didn't go down for a nap till 10:00 which is when church started. It was kind of nice to just have a relaxing morning at home. This afternoon we had lunch with Kendra, Mary & Andy and Kristin & Nate and their two girls. Kendra, Mary, Kristin and I all lived together in Azalea house a co-op at OSU while in college (Becca and Kira also lived there). It was great to see all of them!

This weekend made me realize how blessed we are with great friends! Thank you for being a part of our lives, we love you guys!

(I forgot to mention... Blake clapped for the first time by himself today! I have been working with him on this for oh, probably a month or longer so I was so excited when he figured it out on his own! We got it on video but he was in the bath so I'm not sure I want to post it, maybe I'll try to get him to do it for camera out of the bathtub. He seemed so proud of himself!)
