20 weeks and its a.....

GIRL!!!

Yes, a girl!!! Well, that's what the ultrasound tech said. I'm not 100% convinced yet. Or maybe it just hasn't sunk in. But we are so excited!! Finally after 3 boys in the family (between the cousins) there will be a little girl!!! I can't wait to buy girly things, and I am sure there are several other females in the family that feel the same way! :) 
She was pretty shy during the ultrasound. Her face was down and facing my back so we didn't get very good pictures.
Here's one of them...

I'm hoping to participate in a free ultrasound given by GE next Tuesday. The hospital is trying some new equipment made by GE and they need models to try it out on so I volunteered. I would love to see her again!

20 weeks

I can't believe I'm already half way! I've been feeling pretty good just tired {but that's also due to working and then chasing after a toddler, which would also hence the lack in blogging lately} I have been really feeling her move more lately which I think is one of the best parts of pregnancy. Hopefully next week I'll have some better pictures of her to share with you!

Things from this week.

Wow it was a busy week! And I actually managed to document what we did with pictures! {They were taken on my phone so the quality isn't great but at least there is a picture to remember it by.}

 Wednesday after work Blake and I met two new babies! My friend Jamie welcomed their little girl Quinn on October 1st and my friend Mary welcomed their little boy Cameron on November 11th! 

Its so much fun meeting new babies!

 On Thursday we meet Daddy for a Starbucks date. 

Starbucks had their holiday drinks by one get one free {and still does 2-5pm till Sunday!}. There is no way we could pass that up! While standing in line Blake kept pointing at the display case making his noise that he makes when he wants something. {he's just recently started this and it's really starting to drive me crazy...} So what do I do give in and get him a cake pop thing. {secretly I just wanted a bite ha!} He loved devoured it. {but who wouldn't it was chocolate and peppermint... yum} Although I think he mostly just like the fact that it was on a stick. Because when he realized he had ate it off the stick and a huge bite was in his mouth and not on the stick anymore he started throwing a fit. {another thing that is getting. old. quickly. that I'm afraid is just the beginning of} Maybe I'll try putting green beans and carrots on sticks! Then maybe he'll eat them!

After our coffee date with daddy {which Blake is now saying pretty well! daddy that is.} we went to meet this little guy...

Isn't he absolutely adorable?

{No. He is not ours. Thank goodness. Maybe someday. But not today.}

His name is Lightning and he belongs to Michael {the boy I watch}. 

He is a nine-week-old Golden Retriever.

I tried to get a picture of Michael, Blake and Lightning, but this...

 is pretty much what Lightning would do unless I was holding him.

So I had Michael take a picture of Blake and I with Lightning.

 It will be so fun to watch him grow! 

Today {Friday} we had a nice day at home. {finally a day off!}

And tonight, before Blake went to bed, he actually cuddled with me while watching the Backyardigans. {This has never happened before}

This weekend is the last home football game for the season. Sadly, I'm not going. It will be too cold and wet for Blake. {but hey, we made it to all the other home games!} But we will be joining the tailgate festivities before hand. Breakfast Burritos are on the menu {for the third time this season because they are just so good} and we can't pass those up!

From Baby to Toddler

Blake hits 15 months tomorrow. I just can't believe my baby is now a toddler. And let me tell you, we have definitely entered the "toddler years". So since my baby is turning into a toddler, thought it would be fun to take a minute and look back at his first year!

Welcome Baby Luke!

Baby Luke is here! On March 25th my friend Becca, had her little baby Luke! We are so excited and happy for Erik and Becca and their new little baby! On Sunday Blake got to meet his new friend Luke. We wasn't quite sure what to think about him. But I know in time they will become great buddies!

Babies grow too fast.

I was just thinking this morning that in 3 months I'll have a one-year-old. One. Year. Old. How is that possible?!!!

It's just hard for me to believe that he can go from this...

in 9 months. 

And before I know it I'll be writing about his first birthday. Almost makes me want to cry. Seriously babies grow too fast.

27 weeks

Can't believe I am 27 weeks pregnant! At times if felt as if I would never be this far along. Now only 13 weeks to go which is hard to believe and I know will go by so fast. I can't wait for little Blake to be here and to hold him in my arms!

Weekends always go too fast!

Does it ever seem like its Friday night and you blink and its Sunday night? That's how my weekends have seemed to be lately.

This weekend we headed up to Baby's R US to register for Baby Blake. I would say I think am pretty experienced when it comes to taking care of babies and kids, but honestly I never realized how much stuff one baby could possibly need! And how overwhelming it would be to pick the right car seat and stroller! But we got it done and I think we will be happy with what we have chosen. We also ordered the crib!

I will try to get some pics of the house and all the projects that we have done up soon!

Oh the joys of home ownership...

We have been the house a total of 3 days now. There are still tons of boxes everywhere! We finally got the hot water up and running this morning but now the heater is broken!! Again we have only lived here 3 days!! Thankfully we paid for home warranty insurance which covered the water heater pipe being fixed and should cover the heater. But now we wait till Friday to have heat. I am hoping and praying that nothing else goes wrong :)

On a happier note I am starting to feel the baby more! This morning he was doing gymnastics I think :)

AMAZING DAY!

Today was quite the day! January 15th 2010 marks the day that we found out we are having a baby BOY and we got the keys to our first house! Let the nursery planning and moving begin!

We're PREGNANT!!!

On September 30th I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive!
I had my first Dr. appointment on Tuesday Oct. 27th and everything looks good! As Russell put it-- the baby has all the important parts; 1 head, 1 spine, 2 arms, 2 legs and a strong heart beat! It was amazing to see the baby and hear the heart beat. The picture just doesn't do the experience justice! Praise God for a healthy baby!
The doctor said I am about 8 weeks along and the due date is June 7th! As many of you know we have been trying for awhile and have had one miscarriage very early on and after this appointment we couldn't be more excited! I have been feeling ok. A little nauseous and really tired. We are very excited to be starting a family! We are hoping and praying for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby!
